Weavers of Madras cloth started imitating Scottish tartan worn by the Scottish regiments stationed in Madras In the 1800s. The tartan pattern is a juxtaposition of unevenly placed stripes criss-crossing at right angles.

We had this linen woven to use this season to provide a crisp and breathable shirt.

A light linen shirt, featuring our soft button down collar collar, single button rounded cuffs, a gauntlet button, knife pleats, split Yoke back and available in green or for MTM over shirts and chore jackets.
