The Shetland Crew Neck
Start here for the knitwear you will wear the most, day after day, year after year. Crafted in Scotland using a shetland yarn that is renowned for its beautifully rich and rugged handle. Perfect for layering under a jacket or coat, or simply worn over a shirt with some brushed cotton chinos or jeans. Available in 10 colours to cater for every whim or occasion.
The Shetland Cable
The crew neck with a shetland quality and a classic cable knit pattern. Its roots are in the fishing communities of the British Isles, particularly Ireland’s Aran Islands, where intricate knitted jumpers became synonymous with rugged coastal life, warmth and enduring craftsmanship. As the years and affection for the classic style grew, the cable knit has earned its place as an essential in the smart casual wardrobe. The Lambswool Sportshirt
JP's personal favourite - our evergreen 2 ply (often referred to as 4 ply) lambswool quality yarn re-imagined with a sportshirt collar. This is our popular alternative to the quarter zip jumper. Made with lambswool yarn, carded and spun in Yorkshire before being densely knitted in Hawick on 15 gauge knitting frames. The result? A jumper you'll return to with great affection - delivering softness whilst offering longevity. Ideal over button down shirts and great for layering. The Lambswool Roll Neck
Knitted in Hawick, Scotland, using 100% pure Geelong lambswool, the roll neck sweater is a timeless wardrobe essential designed for enduring comfort and effortless versatility. Sourced from the first shearing of premium Australian merino lambs, Geelong wool is prized for its remarkable softness and refined handle, often compared to cashmere for its luxurious feel. Equally suited layered beneath tailored outerwear and textured suiting or worn casually with denim and brushed flannel trousers, it is a versatile staple built for both everyday wear and quieter refined dressing.
The Fairisles
We think every wardrobe needs a fairisle - to layer, to wear season after season and to pass down the generations. The fairisle has been a sartorial staple for centuries - loved for it's rugged feel and earthy, muted tones reflecting the season. Fairisle has a distinctive place in British menswear because it combines country heritage with colour, pattern and a touch of eccentricity. It works just as well beneath a tweed jacket or over an Oxford shirt as it does with contemporary denim and corduroy.
