This scarf has a relaxed, lightweight feel with a crinkled texture, made of cotton. The colour palette leans into deep indigo and teal tones - the overall print is dynamic and painterly, resembling a blend of ocean waves and digital glitch textures.
The frayed edges on both ends add a casual, slightly rustic touch, not overly polished, but intentionally so. It’s the sort of piece that would look right at home thrown over a white linen shirt or looped loosely with a denim jacket. This scarf would pair well with tonal and neutral outfits to let its rich blues provide a focal point of contrast.
Tamaki Niime was established in 2006 in Nishiwaki City. The delicacy of each product is unique, and no two products are ever alike. Designer Tamaki Niime started the brand searching for a new way to represent the ancient methods of making cotton textiles, known as Banshu-ori. Tamaki Niime focuses on free creative expression—a proper mixture of passion for creation and revitalising the Banshu-ori.
