This scarf has a relaxed, lightweight feel with a crinkled texture, made of cotton. The colour palette leans into earthy, botanical tones — mainly olive green and white, with sections where the green fades into a more muted sage or pistachio shade. There’s a vertical, irregular stripe pattern that gives it a natural artisan look.
The frayed edges on both ends add a casual, slightly rustic touch, not overly polished, but intentionally so. It’s the sort of piece that would look right at home thrown over a linen shirt or looped loosely with a spring jacket.
Soft, earthy, and effortlessly laid-back, with a nice painterly quality. This scarf would pair well with tonal and neutral outfits to let its colours and pattern contrast and complement.
Tamaki Niime was established in 2006 in Nishiwaki City. The delicacy of each product is unique, and no two products are ever alike. Designer Tamaki Niime started the brand searching for a new way to represent the ancient methods of making cotton textiles, known as Banshu-ori.
Tamaki Niime focuses on free creative expression. A proper mixture of passion for creation and revitalizing the Banshu-ori. Home to Japan, Banshu-ori fabrics undergo one continuous process from yarn cultivation to the dyeing process, a technique used since the 1800s.
Each piece is inspected through every processing stage to ensure the highest quality and authenticity of its products. Every garment's light feel gives the wearer a softer feeling, almost as if clouds touch their skin.
