The print on the fabric features a mix of abstract shapes and vibrant colours. There’s a strong divide: one side leans towards deep navy and purple tones with accents of green and orange, while the other side has a dominant warm orange-red base with similar colourful accents. The pattern includes organic, painterly forms, some resembling leaves or petals - with loose, brushstroke-style edges. The fabric has a crinkled texture and frayed edges, giving it a relaxed, slightly bohemian feel.
Tamaki Niime was established in 2006 in Nishiwaki City. The delicacy of each product is unique, and no two products are ever alike. Designer Tamaki Niime started the brand searching for a new way to represent the ancient methods of making cotton textiles, known as Banshu-ori.
Tamaki Niime focuses on free creative expression. A proper mixture of passion for creation and revitalizing the Banshu-ori. Home to Japan, Banshu-ori fabrics undergo one continuous process from yarn cultivation to the dyeing process, a technique used since the 1800s.
Each piece is inspected through every processing stage to ensure the highest quality and authenticity of its products. Every garment's light feel gives the wearer a softer feeling, almost as if clouds touch their skin.
